Temperatures, estimated to drop to a low 20°C, spurred by Cool Airflow Cloudy, and Windy Conditions, is forecast to hover over Muchinga, Eastern, Lusaka, and Southern Provinces of Zambia from July 6-10, a clarion call by experts for all, children chiefly, to stay warm and avert infections.
As climate change precipitates across the globe, bringing weather variables, the Zambia Meteorological Department has warned of cooler temperatures, cloudy skies, and windy conditions across the said provinces of as a high-pressure system.
This, experts say, is expected to drive moist south-easterly airflow from the Indian Ocean.
This, it predicts may cause a noticeable reduction in temperatures and affect some people if caution is not taken to remain warm or stay indoors to avert infections.
